Hidden gem of a Shore spot!!!! FREE beach access every day, large parking lot with a $2 per hour fee. Bathrooms and showers available. Just up the street is an amusement park, bar, boardwalk and water park. Not very crowded and we had beautiful weather
Water is very shallow so good for kids and adults who are afraid of swimming in sea water. I have been there twice and both the times water was muddy. If you are looking for nice blue water to swim then this is not the place but beach is accessible and close by for lots of north and central Jersey people . BEWARE of the parking situation as it doesn’t have good signboards that says you have to pay . We got the parking ticket as we didn’t see any sign or parking meters nearby . They only have few all the way at the beginning and end of the lot .
I have been to this beach and found it amazing to spend the leisure time. It's not much crowded like belmar beach. Cleanliness might be an issue here but it's good for swimming. You get a New York Skyline view.
It's a good beach overall. The water was a little dirtier than how beach water usually is, but fine anyway. There were a lot less people at 11AM-2PM than I expected- like less than 10! I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing, but I considered it great at the time. The waves were a lot calmer, and it felt more peaceful without a lifeguard, but I didn't find much seashells- just mostly rocks. In the end, I would recommend visiting this beach!

Nice beach with cool views of NYC. No lifeguards, so would not recommend swimming. It was not super crowded when we visited and we had a nice time. The water looked dirty, but overall the beach was clean.
First timer . Beautiful beach ! Very clean and very well maintained . Water was a little dirty in the shore but as we went in, it was good . Lovely beach for a walk ! They have really good walk ways in the beach . Wish they had shower.. kids had to be taken as is , after the beach time .. parking was good but i wish they accepted credit cards … tough to pay with cash ! Overall it was a good experience.. nice beach …
The beach was beautiful you do have to pay $2 an hour to park other than that pet friendly also a very beautiful not so crowded Beach perfect spot to get away.
From my past history of growing up in the 80s and 90s this was the place of great times to enjoy with friends and family .Always had fun!
Today it has memories but as well joy for new generations to grab and to feel and I have to say a great job by local community rec to have the beach area along the bay looking amazing.
